Along with MCI, a subcontractor of Sobeys, I’ve been assign the mandate to upgrade all IGA grocery stores workstations to an updated version of Windows. Working on the road across Quebec, I had to manage the inventory of each stores and deploy the solution on all computers. I had to reconfigure profiles and train the store staff in order to familiarize themselves with the new OS.
My assignments also consisted of replacing all the stores routers, reconnecting the infrastructure and testing the new configuration. To fulfill this project, we had to take into account the store’s operations and minimize down time in order to not affect the transactions. That involved a lot of planning as we couldn’t allow a store to be impacted.
